On the 24th of Feburary, activities of the training course known as "The Essential Principles of Medical Modern Education," came to an end. The course, organized by the university's Quality Assurance Center in coordination with the British Councils, was made up of seven presentations about the vision and necessary requirements for developing and improving the educational structure of the discipline. The course emphasized modern styles of measuring student performance fairly and objectively, the ability to graduate world class medical professionals, and instituting means of gaining feedback from the students in regards to their education. Dr. Wael Mulla, the President of the University of Damascus and representatives from the Colleges of Dentistry and Dermatology attended the closing ceremonies.
