On April 19th, in commemoration of the April Holidays, Dr. Jamal Abbas, chief of the Damascus University branch of the Arab Socialist Baath Party; and Dr. Wael Mualla, President of Damascus University, opened two new educational buildings at the Faculty of Agriculture.
The first building includes the departments of Agricultural Economics and Rural Engineering, while the second building is reserved for the department of Food Science.
The total area of all the buildings is 2,250 square meters with a total floor space of 750 square meters. Each building consists of two floors and a vault.
Each building contains stairwells, student spaces, graduate study halls, labs for scientific research, and is equipped with an information network through which
the students can access the internet.
