On April 26th, Dr. Wael Mualla, president of the University of Damascus, met with Šarūnas Adomavičius, Lithuanian Deputy Foreign Minister, in order to discuss scientific and academic cooperation between the University of Damascus and Lithuanian Universities, especially the University of Vilinius. The two sides discussed the possibility of exchanging professors and students in order to benefit from the experience of the two universities. Mr. Adomavičius expressed his country's desire to develop academic relations with the University of Damascus across various disciplines, including eastern languages, and pointed out the possibility of signing a cooperation agreement between the University of Damascus and the University of Vilnius. Dr. Mualla said he is ready to cooperate with Lithuanian universities in various scientific fields, particularly teaching the Arabic language.
