The Start of the Scientific Conference on Anesthesiologists between Pain Management and Intensive Care

 “Anesthesiologists between Pain Management and Intensive Care” scientific conference has started today in the theater hall at Damascus University. The conference is organized by the Syrian Association of Anesthesiologists and Society of Anesthesia Specialists and Pain Management, under the auspices of the Syrian Medical Syndicate. It is also accompanied by an exhibition of medical equipment in the Reda Saeed Conference Hall.

The opening of the conference was attended by President of Damascus University, Professor Dr. Muhammad Osama Al-Jabban, and his deputies for scientific and administrative affairs, graduate studies, scientific research, and open education. A number of professors from the Faculty of Medicine specialized in this field also participated in the conference.

President of the Association, Dr. Zubaida Shamout, indicated in the opening speech that holding the conference in these exceptional circumstances is a real challenge and an official announcement of the readiness of the cadres to face the challenges and keep updated in the field of anesthesia, resuscitation, intensive care and pain management.

It is noteworthy that the conference runs for two days. On its first day, it includes several topics on intensive care, emergency medicine, anesthesia  and intensive care in genocology and pediatrics, heart and kidney surgery, regional anesthesia and pain relief.
