Today, President of Damascus University, Professor Muhammad Osama Al-Jabban, has honoured Dr. Abdul-Ilah Tulaimat, former Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry (1987-1989) and Syrian representative at the Arab Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. This came in a tribute to Dr. Tulaimat’s rich career of knowledge and his contribution to the development of dental sciences at the university.

 The Seminar held at the Faculty of Economics at Damascus University focused on topics like the concept and nature of partnership and its economic requirements, partnership as a development option, and a reading in the historical context of partnership and the Syrian experience in this field, in addition to the future vision for activating partnership in Syria.

 A training workshop on the art of Indonesian batik (painting on fabric) began at the Faculty of Fine Arts at Damascus University. It was organized by the Indonesian Embassy in Damascus, with the aim of introducing and training students at the Graphics Department on this type of art.

Organized by the Faculty of Law at Damascus University in cooperation with Syrian Military Judiciary Authority and the National Union of Syrian Students, “Syrian Military Justice and the Role of Military Prosecution” field training workshop has begun with the participation of professors at the Facility of Law and specialized judges in the field.

To celebrate Syrian Book Day, Minister of Culture, Dr. Lubanah Mshaweh, opened the Syrian Monthly Book fair at the Faculty of Law, Damascus University, in the presence of University President, Professor Muhammad Osama Al-Jabban, his Deputy for Administrative Affairs, Professor Mohamad Turko, Director of the Syrian General Organization of Books, and Dean of the Faculty of Law.

 The second stage of listing training needs of Damascus University students has begun through successive meetings with scientific and practical competencies, including faculty members and experts specialized in the field of job market training.

 In the modern era, contemporary stylistics has emerged a science that calls for describing texts and searching for what distinguishes them, and authors’ unique way of arranging these texts. This science has its roots in the Arab rhetorical heritage, where ancient rhetoricians such as Fakhr al-Din al-Razi pioneered these stylistic studies.

The World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) celebrated World Intellectual Property Day 2024 under the theme "Intellectual Property and Sustainable Development Goals: Building Our Shared Future with Innovation and Creativity". Among the activities in this field is "Change Makers Exhibition", which celebrates innovators, creators, adventurers and entrepreneurs around the world who use intellectual property rights to achieve the sustainable development goals.

 Recurrent Herpes Labialis (RHL) is a viral disease caused by the reactivation of Herpes Simplex Virus type 1 (HSV-1), which remains latent in sensory nerve cells after the primary infection. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), approximately 3.7 billion individuals under the age of 50 are infected with Herpes Simplex Virus type 1, which represents 67% of the world's population.

 Titles of the lectures varied within the theme of health care and biomedical engineering at the International Conference on Biomedical Engineering, including cardiovascular bioengineering, systems and technologies for remote monitoring of the health status of people with chronic diseases, combating sudden cardiac death related to sports, and designing and implementing a digital checklist system to evaluate infection control measures in intensive care units.
