The final stage of the eighteenth session of the Student Scientific Research Competition began today at the Faculty of Dentistry, with the participation of 15 research papers by students from Syrian public and private universities, and a research study from an Iraqi university.
At the conclusion of the visit of Damascus University delegation to the Hungarian University of St. Peter Pazmany, Vice President of Damascus University for Administrative and Student Affairs Dr. Muhammad Turko and the Head of Teachers Syndicate at Damascus University, Dr. Bashar Dahdal, and Mikhail Shahhoud, member of the Central Council of the National Union of Syrian Students, in the presence of Amer Al- Maqt, head of the branch of the National Union of Syrian Students in Hungary, all met the graduate students from Damascus University who are pursuing their postgraduate studies in Hungarian universities.
The third conference on molecular genetics and its clinical applications, organized by the Excellence and Creativity Commission, Damascus University, the Syrian Society of Pathology, and the Syrian Society of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, has begun with an accompanying medical equipment exhibition featuring a number of healthcare and pharmaceutical institutions. The conference is taking place at Damascus Rose Hotel.
The Dermatology and Venereal Diseases Hospital at Damascus University received a device for diagnosing melanomas using artificial intelligence, provided by the National Alliance of Russian Dermatologists and Cosmetologists.
The Faculty of Health Sciences at Damascus University conducted a clinical skills test (OSCE) for final-year students in the Audiology Department, in cooperation with the Faculty of Medicine.
Within the framework of the visit of Damascus University delegation to the Hungarian University of Saint Peter Pazmany, they met with the Vice President of Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Turko and the Head of the Teachers Syndicate at Damascus University, Dr. Bashar Dahdal, with the Vice-Rector of the Hungarian St. Peter Pazmany University in Budapest, Professor Pence Tamashi, and the Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities, Professor Mayor Balaj.
A dialogue session on “Arab Nationalism, Islam, and Christianity: a Cultural Integration within the Framework of the Broad Arab Culture” was organized by the National Union of Syrian students. The dialogue was attended by Minister of Religious Endowments Dr. Mohammad Abdul-Sattar al-Sayyed, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Dr. Bassam Ibrahim, Minister of Information Dr. Boutros Hallaq, President of the National Union of Syrian students Dr. Dareen Suleiman, President of Damascus University Dr. Osama al-Jabban, members of the Executive Office of the Students Union, Vice Presidents of the University, Deans of Faculties and students.
The exhibition of the scientific capabilities of the universities of the Islamic Republic of Iran was inaugurated in the lobby of the Faculty of Law auditorium at Damascus University, in cooperation between the National Union of Syrian Students - Damascus University Branch and the Iranian Scientific Chancellery, in the presence of the Minister of Higher Education, Dr. Bassam Ibrahim, and Minister of Media, Dr. Boutros Al-Hallaq, and the Iranian Ambassador to Syria, Hossein Akbari, President of the Union of Syrian Students, Dr. Dareen Suleiman, President of the University, Dr. Muhammad Osama Al-Jabban, members of the Executive Office of the Union, and a number of deans and students.
The Technology Growth Incubator participated in the Information and Communications Technology Exhibition - HiTech, from June 4 – 8. This exhibition constitutes an important information forum that presents the latest and most important solutions, systems, software, and applications. It also represents an opportunity to learn about the latest technologies used in the field of informatics, smart cities, e-government, e-payment and others.
