Stylistics in Tafsir Al-Fakhr Al-Razi and Its Impact on the Development of Arabic Rhetoric: A Study at the Faculty of Sharia

In the modern era, contemporary stylistics has emerged a science that calls for describing texts and searching for what distinguishes them, and authors’ unique way of arranging these texts. This science has its roots in the Arab rhetorical heritage, where ancient rhetoricians such as Fakhr al-Din al-Razi pioneered these stylistic studies.

This study sought, through the use of the descriptive analytical method, to prove the existence of such stylistic studies among Al-Fakhr Al-Razi through his interpretation of Surat Al-Rum, where he revealed his great interest in explaining the types of Qur’anic styles and their levels (morphological - syntactic - semantic), and most of them were his own efforts that were not preceded, and everyone who came after him benefited from it, especially in the connotations and compatibility between the verses and Surahs
