The International Scientific Conference on Digital Transformation and its Implications for Sustainable Development, organized by the Faculty of Economics at Damascus University, continued its proceedings for the second consecutive day. The conference included three scientific sessions in which researchers from inside and outside Syria presented a range of research papers on digitization as a strategic option for supporting financial inclusion, the role of e-governance in sustainable development, and digital economy and its impact on promoting economic growth.

 The activities of the second day of the engineering scientific conference launched by the Faculty of Civil Engineering at Damascus University began today with the participation of local and international Arab and Foreign attendees.

Activities of the 2024 Scientific Conference “Sustainability in Civil Engineering Facilities”, held at the Faculty of Civil Engineering at Damascus University, were concluded with local and international participation, during which researchers discussed 150 research papers both in-person and online.

A memorial ceremony for the late architect and teacher of generations, Charles Kassab, was held on The Grand Amphitheatre at the Faculty of Architecture at Damascus University. The ceremony was held in the presence of Vice President of Damascus University for Scientific Research Affairs and a number of the faculty’s professors, students, and friends of the deceased, in addition to his family.

Damascus University hosts an International Conference on Digital Transformation and Sustainable Development in Syria. Arab and International researchers and specialists are participating in the 3-day conference in addition to a number of ministries, government agencies and bodies, and private Syrian institutions and companies.

2024 Scientific Engineering Conference under the theme “Sustainability in Engineering Facilities was launched at the Al- Basel Auditorium in the presence of Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Prof. Bassam Ibrahim, Minister of Local Administration and Environment, Eng. Lamia Shakour, members of the diplomatic sector in Damascus, Governor of Damascus, Secretary of Damascus University branch of the Arab Socialist Baath Party,

 The Faculty of Dentistry at Damascus University, in cooperation with the Syrian Dental Syndicate and the Syrian Association of Preventive Dental Medicine and Infection Control, organized a free scientific day that included modern methods for relieving headache, facial pain, neuropathic and acute pain after maxillofacial surgery, and ultrasound-guided filler injections after maxillofacial surgery.

The Faculty of Tourism at Damascus University organized a training workshop entitled "Work Skills in the Food and Beverage Sector" targeting a number of undergraduate and graduate students in the faculty, with the aim of developing their knowledge and providing them with practical skills in this sector to work in hotels and restaurants

Center for Student Empowerment and Leadership at Damascus University concluded a set of training workshops related to general skills organized by the center with the aim of enhancing students’ entry opportunities into the labor market and helping him obtain the appropriate job, in cooperation with some institutions and companies that support the qualification of young people.

An exhibition was opened at the National Center for Visual Arts in Damascus by visual artist Fouad Dahdouh, Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts at  Damascus University, in the presence of President of the University, Professor Muhammad Osama Al-Jabban, and a number of deans of faculties and their deputies at the university.
