Spotlight on External Participations at the 3rd International Conference on Medical Engineering

 The third International Conference on Medical Engineering, held at Damascus University under the theme "Medical Engineering and its Role in the Development of Health Care", witnessed wide participation from Arab and foreign countries.

 

The number of research papers in the conference sessions by external participants reached 34, covering all the conference's themes. The participants were distributed to 16 Arab and foreign countries, according to the statement of Head of the Medical Engineering Department of the Faculty of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering Dr. Rasha Masood.

 

Dr. Masood highlighted that the participation of Arab countries in the conference was through Lebanon, Egypt, and Iraq, where two research papers were presented for each country, where Tunisia, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and the United Arab Emirates participated with one research paper each.

 

The conference sessions also included presentation of research papers by researchers from foreign countries, including the Russian Federation through five papers, and Italy had six papers, while Belarus participated in three, Japan and the United Kingdom by two researches each, and Iran, Canada, Germany and Hungary had one participation each.

 

The conference lasted for three days and, through its private and virtual sessions, discussed 10 key themes in the field of medical engineering.
