Damascus University - Hospital for Dermatology and Venereal Diseases signed a memorandum of understanding with the National Union of Dermatologists and Cosmetologists of the Russian Federation (NADC). The memorandum aimed at establishing and expanding cooperation in the field of development and clinical implementation of modern devices, technological complexes, and clinical protocols for the treatment of skin diseases between the two parties.
Areas of cooperation include the following aspects: NADC, as regional leader in the field of skin cancer detection, provides Damascus University with a set of technological devices for early detection and examination of skin cancer as part of its humanitarian aid. The two parties are committed to developing medical consultations for patients remotely and establishing a Russian-Syrian international reference center for the diagnosis of skin diseases.
The two parties work to facilitate or participate in scientific meetings hosted by the other party, and support joint efforts to develop, test and implement technological devices and equipment to diagnose and treat skin diseases clinically, in addition to developing, testing and implementing diagnostic programs clinically based on the use of artificial Intelligence, and also developing, testing and implementing clinical protocols for the treatment of skin diseases.
According to the memorandum, the two parties will implement online training programs and lectures for doctors and residents, organize on-site training events, and support joint efforts to develop dermatology and cosmetic medicine In the Middle East and the world, in addition to exploring volunteer opportunities and research grants in which their members can participate jointly.
This memorandum will enter into force from the date of signing, and will remain in effect for a period of five years and will be automatically renewed for a similar period, based on the consent of both parties.
