Student Empowerment and Leadership Center concludes its first training workshop aimed at linking students to the labor market

 

Center for Student Empowerment and Leadership at Damascus University concluded a set of training workshops related to general skills organized by the center with the aim of enhancing students’ entry opportunities into the labor market and helping him obtain the appropriate job, in cooperation with some institutions and companies that support the qualification of young people.

Director of the center, Dr. Ahmed Khader, explained that the training programs aimed at linking the student to the labor market actually began at the center with the participation of a group of trainers and experts in the labor market and vocational training through training workshops that lasted for a week.

The general skills within “Your Path to the Labor Market” program included training workshops that lasted for five days, focusing on job search skills, writing a professional CV, and how to successfully pass a job interview through effective communication skills and team work skills.

Dr. Khader explained that training will continue during the coming period through workshops dealing with linguistic and specialized skills, self-employment skills, and programs in scientific research. He also noted that all of these programs and workshops are free of charge.
