The second module of the Syrian Fellowship Programme for Laser Applications in Dentistry is underway at the Faculty of Dentistry

The second module of the Syrian Fellowship Programme for Laser Applications in Dentistry has commenced at the Faculty of Dentistry, Damascus University, with participation from Spain and Japan via Zoom.

The second module, on surgical laser applications for all laser wavelengths in the oral cavity, will take place over two days, according to Professor Dr. Omar Hamada, Head of the Department of Oral Medicine at the Faculty of Dentistry and Coordinator of the Fellowship Programme. Lectures on laser applications in surgery, dental implants, and potential side effects from laser use in dental treatment will be given by the attending international lecturers.

For his part, Mr. Muhammad Al-Qudda emphasised the value of collaboration with scientific organisations that host these kinds of events, workshops, and scientific programmes, particularly at a prestigious university like Damascus University and the Faculty of Dentistry, where they are attempting to disseminate the most recent research in dentistry. He made the point that participation in the fellowship programme will be allowed in order to determine the needs of the participants and to submit future plans for brand-new seminars and events.

The Syrian Fellowship Programme for Laser Applications in Dentistry is unique in that it consists of six progressively higher levels.
