Preparing to Establish a Professional Master's Program in Climate Change at the Faculty of Civil Engineering at Damascus University

 Faculty of Civil Engineering at Damascus University is preparing to establish a professional Master’s program in climate change with the aim of addressing one of the most prominent global environmental issues. The program will focus on providing advanced knowledge about the causes and effects of climate change, in addition to engineering solutions and innovative technologies to mitigate these effects.

 

Deanship of the Faculty of Civil Engineering held a meeting with a number of professors and specialists from several Arab and foreign countries via Zoom to discuss plans and directions related to opening this Master’s Program.

 

Dean of the Faculty of Civil Engineering, Dr. Khawla Mansour, stressed that the focus was on the importance of identifying curricula that integrate scientific theories and practical applications, as well as enhancing cooperation with international professors and research bodies to develop advanced academic content and to benefit from the experiences of international universities in the same specialization.

 

The meeting was attended by a number of international professors, in addition to local professors and specialists.
