The Faculty of Health Sciences at Damascus University organized a training workshop entitled "Learning Music" for students of the Audiology and Speech and Language Therapy Departments. The workshop included topics such as an introduction to music, its history, types of musical instruments and their sounds, important musical terms with examples, the musical scale, notation and dimensions with a practical application. The workshop also shed light on aspects of the influence of music on behavior.

 The Faculty of Tourism at Damascus University organized a scientific symposium entitled “A Journey through the Natural Heritage of Syria,” on the occasion of World Environment Day, in cooperation with the National Union of Syrian Students. The event is directed to students of the faculty from various departments.

 The Scientific Engineering Conference of 2024, themed Sustainability in Civil Engineering Facilities, and its accompanying exhibition were concluded on May 28, 2024, at the Faculty of Civil Engineering, Damascus University. A large number of local, international, Arab, and foreign participants attended. Over the course of two days, the conference covered a wide range of topics and research papers presented by experts and researchers, faculty members and postgraduate students in the fields of civil engineering. The participants made a number of recommendations, covering all the topics presented in the conference.

 The scientific sessions of day 2 of the Second International Conference on Renewable Energies, organized by the Faculty of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering at Damascus University, began this morning. Three scientific sessions were presented by researchers from Syrian universities, Atomic Energy Commission, Scientific Studies and Research Center, and graduate students from the Faculty.

 President of Damascus University, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Osama Al-Jabban, met with Chargé d'Affaires of the Pakistani Embassy in Damascus, Mr. Umer Hayat Khan. During the meeting, they discussed prospects for joint scientific, research and academic cooperation.

As part of the development and enhancement of the agreement and memorandum of understanding signed between Damascus University and the University of St. Pazmany Peter in Hungary, Vice President of Damascus University for Administrative and Student Affairs, Professor Dr. Mohamad Turko, and the Captain of Teachers at Damascus University, Dr. Bashar Dahdal, visited the Hungarian university and held a working meeting. The Hungarian side was attended by Professor Peter Nandor Máthé, Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities, and Professor Mayor Balázs, Vice Dean of the Faculty, along with Dr. Sam Mahmoud, the responsible person in the Office of International Relations.

The Second International Engineering Conference on Renewable Energy was launched at the Faculty of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, Damascus University. A number of researchers participated in the conference which aims to enhance scientific research, support investment in the field of renewable energy, and find technical solutions to the problem of general blackout.

The Faculty of Arts and Human Sciences at Damascus University organized a panel discussion on “Improving the Quality of the Educational Process” within the context of developing the university educational process, and measuring the levels of its performance, and achieving general institutional excellence with the participation of the faculty community.

Damascus University held today a dialogue session entitled "Higher Education Towards an Objective Approach to Reality and the Future: Damascus University as a Case Study", with the aim of discussing the reality of higher education, the challenges it faces, and the proposed mechanisms. The session was held in Reda Saeed Conference Hall at Damascus University

The faculty of Media at Damascus University organized a training workshop on news reports within the framework of the memorandum of understanding signed between the faculty and RT Channel, with the aim of empowering students in the practical aspect.
