Dialogue sessions on the first day of the Data Analysts Forum, "Statistics: Life, Growth and Development" included lectures and discussions on scientific research in the field of statistics and data analysis and work in public and private sectors.
Faculty of Science at Damascus University organized a workshop titled "Invention and Development," presented by Professor Jihad Abou Nassar, Director of the Patent Office at the university. The workshop was attended by Dean of the Faculty, along with academic and administrative deputies, as well as a gathering of professors and students from various disciplines.
Center for Student Empowerment and Leadership at Damascus University launched a new initiative within the Data Analysts Forum, “Statistics: Life, Growth, and Development”. The initiative aims to train 100 young Syrians participating in the forum, and focuses on developing young people’s skills in the field of data analysis and statistics, in an effort to enhance their abilities to face contemporary market challenges.
Activities of the Data Analysts Forum, "Statistics: Life, Growth and Development" were launched at Damascus University. The Forum is held by the Youth Empowerment Center at the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor in partnership with the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), and in cooperation with the Student Leadership and Empowerment Center at Damascus University.
Damascus University is currently working on establishing Damascus University Alumni Association, a cultural association that aims to demonstrate the importance of the humanitarian, civilizational and scientific role played by university graduates in society. It seeks to open channels of communication between Damascus University and its graduates on the one hand, and between the graduates themselves on the other hand.
The Faculty of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering concluded the 2024 Graduation Projects Exhibition, where students presented their innovative projects in multiple fields including mechanical, electrical, and electronic engineering.
Students from the Department of Computer Engineering and Automation participate in the Graduation Projects Exhibition, which is organized by the Mechanical and Electrical Engineering Faculty. Students displayed innovative projects and talked to people and researchers.
Seminars and lectures of the 7th Syrian Fine Arts Days concluded at the Faculty of Fine Arts at Damascus university, with a lecture by Mr. Saad Al-Qasim, entitled (Parallel Writings to Artwork - Signs and Questions) in the presence of the Minister of Culture, Dr. Diala Barakat, her advisor, Mr. Nazih Khoury, and Professor Ghaith Warkozek, Vice President of the University for Scientific Research and Postgraduate Studies.
