Students from Damascus schools visited the 2024 Graduation Projects Exhibition at the Faculty of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering to explore the diverse projects in fields such as renewable energy, robotics, and medical systems, with the aim of encouraging them to pursue higher education and contribute to the development of national capabilities in the fields of science and engineering.
The 2024 Graduation Projects Exhibition at the Faculty of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering at Damascus University showcases a distinguished collection of student innovations in various fields such as renewable energy, robotics, and medical systems. The National Authority for Quality and Accreditation conducted the unified national exam for students of Pharmacy, specifically fifth-year students and graduates from public and private Syrian universities, as well as graduates of non-Syrian universities.
The Student Empowerment and Leadership Center at Damascus University organized a training course entitled “Preparing a Professional Trainer” with the participation of twenty trainees, half of whom are people with special needs, with the aim of qualifying them and developing their skills to become trainers in a number of fields.

The third Syrian Book Fair 2024, opened yesterday at Al- Assad National Library in Damascus. The fair includes 41 diverse pavilions, including 9 pavilions for government agencies, including the pavilion of the Scientific Literature Magazine of Damascus University.
Faculty of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering at Damascus University opened the 7th edition of Graduation Projects Exhibition with the participation of a number of public and private universities and Syrian institutes. The Exhibition aims to provide a platform for students to display their innovative and distinguished projects, and to enhance cooperation between universities and investment entities.
Faculty of Arts and Humanities at Damascus University, represented by Dr. Mona Taameh, Head of Department of Arabic and Dr. Munira Faour, a faculty member, participated in the 10th Arabic Language International Conference, entitled “10 Years of Achievements in the Service of Arabic: (Arabic is a Crisis of a Nation, not a Language Crisis)" which was held in the United Arab Emirates on October 10-12. The main themes of the conference revolved around the future of Arabic language, the role of artificial intelligence, modern technologies and interactive strategies in developing curricula for teaching Arabic to native and non-native speakers, and the role of heads of Arabic language departments and language academies in drawing up a linguistic policy and scientific methodology to empower the Arabic language and enhance its position.
