International Training Workshop on Reviving Barada River Project at Sapienza University in Italy

 

The international training workshop on urban and environmental planning for the ecological environment in Damascus City, "Reviving Barada River Project," was launched at the University of Sapienza in Italy. The workshop was attended by Dean of the Higher Institute of Regional Planning at Damascus University, Dr. Ghada Bilal; Head of Master's Program in Urban Planning at Sapienza University, Professor Carmen Mariano; and department staff at the Italian university.

 

The workshop aims at training 25 international students on Reviving Barada River Project, divided into six groups assigned to three project sites which are academically selected to address urban and environmental planning issues. Student groups will work on finding solutions to these issues through projects they present.

 

At the end of the workshop, the winners will be announced and honored. The workshop's outputs and proposals will be submitted to the University and Damascus Governorate to be used and implemented.
