Two Online Lectures between the Faculty of Civil Engineering at Damascus University and its counterpart at the University of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Geodesy in Bulgaria

 

Faculty of Civil Engineering at Damascus University organized two online lectures, in cooperation with the Faculty of Civil Engineering at the University of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Geodesy in Bulgaria, as part of the periodic lectures program organized by the faculty.

 

Dean of the Faculty, Dr. Khawla Mansour, confirmed that these scientific lectures are a gateway to future areas of cooperation between the two faculties, such as joint supervision of students, allowing them to benefit from the references of the Bulgarian university and publish in its journals, and later participate in working on research of common interest.

 

Vice Dean for Scientific Affairs, Dr. Mazen Ibrahim, indicated that the lectures are directed to the postgraduate students, with the aim of familiarizing them with the most important scientific research globally within their research fields.

 

The first lecture, by Dr. Emad Abdulahad, was on “Seismic Assessment, Rehabilitation and Reinforcement According to EN 1998-3 European Code”. The second was delivered by Dr. Marina Traykova under the title “Structural Solutions and Sustainable Design for Rehabilitation and Strengthening of Existing Buildings”.
