So far 1,600 interviews in the Faculty of Health Sciences with admission rate exceeding 60%

The Faculty of Health Sciences continues to conduct admission interviews for students wishing to enroll in the Faculty as a requirement to be considered for university admission.

The Dean of the Faculty, Dr. Samer Mohsen, stressed that the goal of the interviews and examinations is to allow students to study the specialty they are actually able to practice efficiently after graduation, pointing out that the interviews and examinations are specific to the goal and do not include any scientific content or scientific tests. They, nonetheless, include educational sessions that introduce the student to the Faculty’s specializations. His inclinations and desires. He explained that the tests are focused on speech and language, occupational therapy, clinical psychology and audiology.

The Dean of the Faculty emphasized that the tests are administered in cooperation with the Amal Organization by identifying the technical committees responsible for the job examination and the interview committees that include faculty members, specialists from the organization, and the Faculty’s administrative staff, in addition to 60 students under the supervision of the Students Union.

Dr. Mohsen stated that the interviews start from 8:30 in the morning until 2:30 in the afternoon and continue until the 12th of the current month, and 250 applicants are received daily for the four specializations, meaning 100 applicants daily. To date, 1,600 interviews have been completed and the admission rate exceeds 60%. For obvious reasons, it is expected that 5,000 interviews will be completed by the end of the interview date.

He added: Students who are successful in interviews advance to selection for admission to the specializations in question, while students advance directly to selection in specializations that do not require interviews, such as prosthetics, orthotics, diagnostics, radiotherapy, and medical information management. He pointed out that the process of producing and entering data into the Ministry of Higher Education’s website takes place on a daily basis, which means that the results of the interviews will be announced one day after they end. Whereas previously, the process took place after the interviews ended.
