Launch of the Second Russian-Syrian Health Care Conference

 

The second Russian-Syrian conference in the field of health care was launched today under the title “Ibn Sina’s Methods” at Damascus University, with the aim of strengthening medical and educational cooperation between the two countries and exchanging experiences and knowledge in the field of health care.

 

Minister of Higher Education, Dr. Bassam Hassan, confirmed that the conference represents a qualitative leap in the development of scientific conferences, and is distinguished by the diversity of lectures covering a wide spectrum of medical specialties, with the participation of an elite group of Russian and Syrian researchers.

Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, Valery Nikolaevich Valkov, indicated that the conference contributes to strengthening scientific cooperation between Russia and Syria, with a focus on developing this cooperation in a systematic manner through constructive dialogue and fruitful communication.

 

The Russian Minister of Healthcare, Dr. Mikhail Albertovich Murashko, stressed in a speech delivered online that the conference aims to achieve success in combating diseases and saving the lives of citizens by following an integrated approach and cooperation between all countries, noting the importance of training and exchanging modern knowledge and scientific expertise among specialist

 

Minister of Health, Dr. Ahmed Damiriyah, pointed out the importance of the conference in exchanging experiences and visions between the Syrian and Russian sides in the field of health, noting the participation of an elite group of doctors, researchers and health care specialists from both countries

 

President of Damascus university, Professor Muhammad Osama al-Jabban, confirmed that Syrian-Russian relations have been strong and historical since the 1920s, and the first cooperation between the two countries was scientific cooperation by sending Syrian scientific missions to the Soviet Union

The conference coordinator, Dr. Amer Koshaji, explained that the conference includes a selection of senior doctors from both sides, as well as several officials from the ministries of health and higher education. He indicated that scientific agreements aimed at enhancing cooperation between the two countries will be signed during the conference.

 

Head of the Syrian-Russian Cooperation Foundation, Dr. Fadi Isani, pointed out that the conference reflects the ongoing medical cooperation between Syria and Russia, and explained that the Foundation is working in the health and education sectors to coordinate efforts between the two sides to establish such scientific activities
