The launch of a workshop on bio-endodontic treatments for young permanent teeth at the Faculty of Dentistry at Damascus University

A training workshop on “Biological Endodontic Treatments for Young Permanent Teeth” was launched at the Faculty of Dentistry at Damascus University, organized by the Department of Pediatric Dentistry and the Faculty Professional Practice Office, with the participation of a distinguished group of professors.

 

Deputy Dean of the Faulty of Dentistry for Scientific Affairs, Professor Dr. Mohannad Laflouf, explained that the importance of the workshop comes from the fact that the microscope has become an important part of advanced and modern dental clinics, through its role in assisting the dentist in his work. He also noted that the Faculty of Dentistry is currently seeking to introduce the microscope in its work to keep pace with modern developments in dental microscopic sciences.

 

Deputy Dean of the Faulty of Dentistry for Administrative Affairs, Professor Omar Hishmeh, indicated that the workshop is part of continuing education and training workshops aimed at increasing science and knowledge for graduate students and trainees in various fields of dentistry. The workshop sheds light on one of the important topoics in the field of pediatric dentistry, pointing out that the Department of Pediatric Dentistry treats patients with special needs.

 

It is noteworthy that the training workshop lasts for two days, and its scientific program includes several lectures with distinctive and important titles. On the second day, practical training on the use of a microscope and loupes, partial and cervical pulp amputation, automated root canal preparation, and applying periapical plugs.
