Changes in financial markets have imposed many risks on the financial sector in various countries of the world, as risk constitutes a large part of banking work, especially with the increase of competition, the volume of banking transactions, and technological developments.
Faculty of Agriculture at Damascus University celebrated the opening of the "Garden of Hope" in the presence of President of the University, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Osama Al-Jabban; Governor of Damascus, Eng. Tariq Kreishati; Director General of ACSAD, Dr. Dr. Naser Eddin Al Obaid; President of the Federation of Agricultural Chambers, Muhammad Kashto; President of the Agricultural Engineers Syndicate, Ali Saadat; and President of the University Branch of National Union of Syrian Students.
Political, social, psychological, and educational reasons for displacement, as well as the mental health of displaced individuals, were the core topics of the workshop organized by the Faculty of Education at Damascus University in collaboration with the National Union of Syrian Students and Sham Land Foundation under the title "The Crisis of Displacement and Its Implications".
Participants in the sessions of the first day of “Applications of Artificial Intelligence in Medical Engineering” Symposium, organized by Damascus University in cooperation with the General Secretariat of the Federation of Arab Engineers and the Syrian Engineers Syndicate, discussed several important topics related to the employment of artificial intelligence in the field of medical engineering, and how to enhance cooperation between local and international universities.
Department of Biomedical Engineering at the Faculty of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering at Damascus University, in cooperation with the General Secretariat of the Federation of Arab Engineers and the Syrian Engineers Syndicate, organized a symposium entitled “Applications of Artificial Intelligence in Biomedical Engineering,” with the participation of researchers and academics from local and international universities. The symposium will continue for two days in the Umayyad Hall at Cham Hotel.
Faculty of Tourism at Damascus University, in cooperation with the Union Center for Media Training (UCMT), organized a training workshop entitled “Producing and Presenting Tourism Television Programmes” targeting fourth-year and postgraduate students of different specializations in the faculty.
The international training workshop “Urban spaces’ ecological resilience in the urban built environment of Damascus” concluded at the Italian University of Sapienza organized by the Department of Urban Renewal at Barada RivEr/Generation_LAB.
Dean of Higher Institute for Regional Planning, Dr. Ghada Bilal, had a meeting with managers of the Italian National Park of Maiella (parco national della Maiella). The meeting was attended by President of the Park, Lucio Zazzara from the University of Pescara; Director of the Park, Luciano De Martino, in addition to researchers and technical experts working in the park laboratories. This comes within the framework of the two agreements signed between the Park and the Governorate of Damascus for the purpose of enhancing scientific and academic cooperation.
The production facility at the Faculty of Agriculture at Damascus University is considered an educational platform for the faculty students. It contributes to their education, training and enhancing their field experience. It also provides research services to both students and professors or researchers from public and private bodies to conduct scientific research and studies.
