Honoring Students of the Faculty of Fine Arts who participated in the Syrian Plastic Art Forum

 

Damascus University and the Ministry of Culture honored students of the Faculty of Fine Arts who participated with artistic paintings at the Syrian Plastic Art Forum, held at the National Museum in Damascus

.

Minister of Culture, Dr. Diala Barakat, noted the importance of young artistic talents participating in art events and giving them the opportunity to express their creativity and energies. She also emphasized that this participation is an important step to encourage students and young artists to continue their artistic journey

.

Professor Dr. Muhammad Osama Al-Jabban, President of Damascus University, expressed his appreciation to the Ministry of Culture for providing this significant opportunity to the distinguished students of the Faculty of Fine Arts, both undergraduate and postgraduate, who created remarkable artworks within the Syrian Art Forum.

 

Dr. Saed Salloum, Head of the Painting Department at the Faculty of Fine Arts, explained that the five students participating in the forum were selected based on criteria, including their ability to work in front of the audience. He mentioned that the work was like a real workshop characterized by organization, teamwork, and mutual interaction between undergraduate and postgraduate students.

 

Researcher and art critic Professor Saad Al-Qasim pointed out that the most notable feature of this year's Syrian Plastic Art Forum is the significant participation of Damascus University through five artistic paintings by students of the Faculty of Fine Arts.
