Exhibition by visual artist Fouad Dahdouh at the National Center for Visual Arts

 

An exhibition was opened at the National Center for Visual Arts in Damascus by visual artist Fouad Dahdouh, Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts at  Damascus University, in the presence of President of the University, Professor Muhammad Osama Al-Jabban, and a number of deans of faculties and their deputies at the university.

 

Prof. Dahdouh explained that the exhibition contains a large painting measuring seven and a half meters in addition to eight paintings. He also pointed out that the experience he presents in the exhibition involves a lot of risks, given that it is between negative and positive, especially since the work has large areas and requires a lot of diligent effort.

 

It is noteworthy that visual artist, Dr. Dahdouh, graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts in Damascus, Department of Sculpture, in 1981. He received a diploma from the National Higher School in France in 1984, a master’s degree from the Higher National School in Bologna in 1987, and a doctorate from the Department of Humanities in Bologna in 1993. He is a member of the Artists Union.
