Production Camp for Students of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering

The Faculty of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering at Damascus University inaugurated the activities of the production camp for fourth and fifth-year students in all specializations, under the patronage of the National Union of Syrian Students.

During an interview with Damascus University Website, Dean of the Faculty, Dr. Mustafa Al-Hazouri, highlighted the importance of resuming the camp after years of suspension. He emphasized that it serves as an opportunity for students to connect their theoretical knowledge with practical reality.

Engineer Israa Hamdan, Director of “EMBS,” the scientific partner in the camp, emphasized the importance of collaboration with Damascus University, particularly through the production camps, which provide significant opportunity for networking between both parties, facilitating scientific trips, practical experiments, as well as lectures on quality, facility maintenance, establishment of labs, and the necessary managerial skills for engineers to strongly enter the job market.

The camp's leader, Dr. Mustafa Mawaldi, mentioned that the camp includes scientific workshops supervised by specialized professors, activities at the faculty, and visits to laboratories, facilities, and companies.

The camp's opening was attended by heads of department, representatives from sponsoring authorities, and a gathering of professors and students.
