Faculty of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering participates in the Syrian International Exhibition for Agricultural Mechanization (AGRO Syria 2024)

 Faculty of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering at Damascus University participated in the Syrian International Exhibition for Agricultural Mechanization and its Supplies (AGRO Syria 2024), through a special pavilion that included projects from the Mechanical Design Department.

Dr. Samer Hossam El-Din, from the Mechanical Design Department and supervisor of the faculty’s pavilion, explained that the primary goal of their participation in the exhibition is to introduce the Mechanical Design Department’s scientific and research activities, works, and services that it can provide to the labor market. He also stressed that the exhibition is an opportunity for students to display their completed projects.

Mechanical Design Department participated through six projects in agricultural and food manufacturing, including those related to extracting oils from plant seeds, a line for extracting essential oils, a project for mechanizing oils from seeds, and designing a line for plucking poultry feathers.

Engineer Raghad Abu Assaf, one of the supervisors of the faculty’s pavilion, explained that their presence at the exhibition comes within the framework of efforts aimed to attract investors in the agricultural manufacturing sector and network with them.
