Wide Participation in “Artificial Intelligence in Higher Education and Community Service” Conference

Wide participation in “the Artificial Intelligence in Higher Education and Community Service” conference which was organized by Damascus University, Ajloun National University in Jordan, and Center for Artificial Intelligence and Digital Transformation at the Association of Arab Universities. Various research papers were presented from Syrian universities on dentistry, arts, business administration, law, and economics.

 

Professor Dr. Abeer Al-Jojo, from the Faculty of Dentistry, Damascus University, gave a lecture about how to use artificial intelligence techniques for early detection of oral cancer and for early prediction of potential malignant disorders through image analysis and medical examinations.

 

From Al-Furat University, Dr. Mahmoud Dhiaf Al-Muhammad gave a lecture on automating the identification of medicinal and aromatic plants via smart software.

Engineer Jaafar Ramez Ahmed Nizam talked about using artificial intelligence applications for those who have hearing impairment.

 

It is worth to mention that the conference also discussed ‘digital financial inclusion’ and how to use it in medicine, dentistry, natural languages, etc., and the need for legalizing it. Perspectives on ethics and risks were also discussed, with participating researchers from Syria, Jordan, Egypt and Iraq.
