The Faculty of Civil Engineering at Damascus University organized an online lecture entitled “Global Warming and Energetic Potential of Solid Waste Landfills in Jordan Using Different Modeling Techniques,” delivered by Dr. Hani Abu Qadis from the University of Science and Technology in Jordan. The lecture discussed gas emissions and global warming depending on the concept of modeling and simulation using different techniques and presenting the University of Jordan’s experience in the field of combating gas emissions.
Damascus University formed a national team composed of staff from the Higher Institute for Seismic Research and Studies at the university and the Atomic Energy Commission, with technical and logistical support from the Aga Khan Foundation. The aim is to conduct an early study to collect valuable data on the earthquake that occurred in northwest Salamiyah.

As part of its academic activities and efforts to improve knowledge and specialised training among its students and graduates in the field of temporomandibular disorders, the Faculty of Dentistry at Damascus University hosted a workshop entitled "Methods of Contemporary Diagnosis and Management."

This initiative is in collaboration with the private sector, veterinary pharmaceutical companies, and the public sector, supported by the Veterinary Doctors Syndicate in Daraa and the advisory units in the villages of the governorate.
Third Entrepreneurial Investment Forum, organized by the National Union of Syrian Students and the Syrian Young Entrepreneurs Association, was launched at Damascus University in the presence of Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research and Minister of Social Affairs and Labour, President of Damascus University and representatives of government and private entities.
