Faculty of Education Organizes Training Workshop on Montessori Curriculum

 Faculty of Education at Damascus University organized a training workshop on Montessori education. 15 trainees participate in the workshop, including graduates, teachers, headteachers, and those interested in early education (kindergarten), in addition to mothers interested in the Montessori curriculum.

 

In a statement to the university's website, Dean of the Faculty of Education, Dr. Maha Zahlouk, explained that the workshop is part of a series of workshops organized by the faculty as part of the work of the Office of Professional Practice. It aims to provide participants with knowledge of the principles of Montessori Education, introducing them to its philosophy, practical, and linguistic aspects to develop children's senses and skills.

 

Dr. Mirhan Kalash, one of the trainers, indicated that the workshop includes a practical training package for the participants to improve their knowledge, develop their skills, and gain the experience that qualifies them to provide the best in this field through 30 training hours. She pointed out that Montessori is a practical life course that includes transferring experiences to children in the fields of mathematics, culture, and Arabic language.

 

It is worth noting that the workshop lasts for ten days in the Montessori lab at the faculty, at the end of which certificates will be distributed to the trainees.
