Topics of the first day of "Artificial Intelligence in the Humanities and Applied Sciences" workshop organized by Damascus University branch in Daraa, in cooperation with the National Union of Syrian Students and experts from Reach to Infinity Team, focused on artificial intelligence in education and introducing its most prominent tools in various fields, especially in the educational field.
In the first practical session, Dr. Mohammed Al Mahmoud reviewed the concept of artificial intelligence in general and the importance of its use, in addition to its most prominent requirements and challenges. Dr. Ibrahim Al Masri presented in the second session a set of files covering the most important and famous applications of artificial intelligence in the educational field, reviewing some examples of its use and benefits, and touched on Arab and international applications and platforms.
The third session included live presentations of the most prominent artificial intelligence applications (ChatGPT), (Gemini) and (Copilot), presented by artificial intelligence Engineer Muwaffaq Arab Oghli, in which he explained methods of use, implementation, comparisons and work mechanisms. Director of Damascus University branch in Daraa, Dr. Shawqi Al-Rashed, explained that the aim of the workshop is to educate participants about the most prominent artificial intelligence applications used in the fields of educational, legal, economic, languages, mathematics, basic and technical sciences and veterinary medicine, in a way that advances the educational process in higher education and links it to society. He also noted that the workshop targets various categories of university students, professors, employees, administrators and all those interested in the field.
The workshop, which will last for three days, will discuss topics related to defining artificial intelligence and the mechanisms associated with it.
