Dr. Alaa Shaheen, a researcher from the Faculty of Law at Damascus University, has won the second place in the 2024 League of Arab States Award for Law and Judiciary (second edition) for her doctoral thesis entitled “Legal Protection of Intellectual Property in Television Series: An Analytical and Doctrinal Study from Damascus University”.
The award was presented to her by the Mauritanian Prime Minister, HE Mokhtar Ould Ajay, in Nouakchott, in the presence of the Syrian Ambassador to Mauritania, Qusai Mustafa, along with a large gathering of legal and judicial leaders from across the Arab world.
The second edition of the League of Arab States Award for Law and Judiciary 2024 was held in Nouakchott, Mauritania, on October 31, 2024. It was organized by the Arab League, the Council of Arab Ministers of Justice, the Arab Center for Judicial and Legal Sciences, and the Ministry of Justice of Mauritania.
