The Third International Conference on Biomedical Engineering, organized by the
Faculty of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering at Damascus University, began on the amphitheater of Damascus University under the title “Biomedical Engineering and its Role in Developing Health Care,” with the participation of 45 scientific papers from 16 Arab and foreign countries, accompanied by an exhibition of medical equipment in the Reda Saeed Conference Hall.
Oral ulcers affect the quality of life, especially if the accompanying pain is severe, and their management poses a challenge for dentists due to the difficulty of diagnosing them. Side effects of medications on the oral cavity usually play a role in these ulcers, and the severity of these side effects of medications taken orally depends on the structure and composition of the drug and the duration of exposure to the drug.
Market concentration and efficiency are important determinants of banks' performance and stability during crises in the world. In order to test this hypothesis experimentally, a scientific study was conducted at the Higher Institute for Administrative Development at Damascus University. The study was entitled: “Bank performance and financial stability during the COVID-19 pandemic: lessons from the MENA region.”
The Syrian Fellowship Program for Laser Applications in Dentistry completed the work of its second module at the Faculty of Dentistry at Damascus University with four theoretical lectures, and a practical application of laser applications on animal heads.
