A Pre-marriage Course Organized by the Faculty of Sharia at Damascus University

 The first pre-marriage course was launched at the Faculty of Sharia at the University of Damascus, in cooperation with the Ifaf Charitable Society, which is concerned with pre marriage preparing and training and family reform. 150 young men and women, married or about to get married.

 

The course lasts for five days and is joined by 150 young men and women, married or about to get married. It aims to prepare them for a successful married life and raise awareness of the conditions that must be met to begin the first steps of married life.

 

Dean of the Faculty of Sharia, Professor Dr. Muhammad Hassan Awad, pointed out that this course is the first of its kind at Damascus University, which is concerned with the foundations of choosing spouses, their rights and duties, and the mechanism of dealing between spouses in a way that establishes a good Syrian family. He also noted that participants in the course receive a certificate of participation and attendance signed by the Faculty of Sharia and the Ifaf Charitable Society.

 

 Director of the Ifaf Society, Dr. Mohamed Hani Al-Shaal, explained that the course includes four basic topics with the participation of specialized trainers covering all aspects and topics, in addition to psychological counselors.
