الأستاذ الدكتور باسم حيبا
تخرج من كلية الهندسة الطبية في جامعة دمشق عام 1996 وتابع دراساته العليا في فرنسا فحصل على شهادة الماجستير في الهندسة الطبية البيولوجية من جامعة بيكاردي جول فيرن عام 2000 وشهادة الدكتوراه في فيزياء الرنين المغناطيسي من جامعة جوزيف فورييه عام 2004.
للدكتور باسم خبرة مطولة في مجال تطوير أجهزة التصوير بالرنين المغناطيسي ومعالجة بياناته ونمذجته حيث عمل كباحث في عدة جامعات منها جامعة ليون وجامعة بوردو وحالياً يشغل منصب مدير أبحاث في معهد علوم الدماغ في جامعة ليون.
نشر عدد كبير من الأوراق البحثية الأصيلة خصوصاً في مجال الرنين المغناطيسي عالي الدقة.


Prof. Bassem Hiba
He graduated from the faculty of Biomedical Engineering at Damascus University in 1996 and pursued his postgraduate studies in France. He obtained his Ms.c from the University of Picardie Jules Verne in 2000 and a Ph.D. in Medical and Health Engineering from the University of Joseph Fourier in 2004.
Professor Hiba is a senior researcher with extensive expertise in developing new MRI pulse sequences, and in MRI data processing and modeling. He has worked as a researcher in several universities including the University of Joseph Fourier, the University of Lyon, and the University of Bordeaux. Currently, he is a Research Director at the Institute of Cognitive Sciences of Lyon University.
He is the author of numerous original scientific papers, including the first spiral sampling of Fourier space at a very high magnetic field of 7 Tesla which was used to accelerate the 4D magnetic resonance spectroscopic imaging. Another of his achievements is the development of cardiac MRI with dual cardiac and respiratory self-synchronization.
Since 2010, his research aims to improve the spatial resolution of brain MRI in order to transform it into sub-millimeter imaging.
