The Faculty of Applied Science at Damascus University was established in 2013 to develop, modernize, and redirect the reality of technical education under the supervision of the Supreme Council for Technical Education in the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.

 The letters of meanings influence the meaning of Arabic speech, and their grammatical and semantic functions work together to direct the meanings. With the aim of clarifying the effect of the letters of meanings in directing the meaning, an applied study was conducted at the Faculty of Sharia at Damascus University on the verses that talk about the timing of determining the gender of the fetus in the Holy Qur’an.

 Recent studies in various fields have demonstrated that C24 fullerene has become increasingly relevant to many nano topics; as a carbon-based material, it is considered to be a promising option for future developments in nanotechnology, for both civil and military/defense applications, and has also demonstrated its potential in areas such as superconductivity and transport properties- which highlights its potential application in nanoelectronics.

  In collaboration with the National School of Architecture at the University of Carthage/Tunisia, the Authority of Heritage Experts in the Arab World organised the International Conference for the Protection and Preservation of the Heritage of the Arab World in Tunisia/Hammamet on April 28 and 29. The Faculty of Architecture at Damascus University took part in this event. The participating researchers addressed a number of issues pertaining to heritage site management, preservation and protection plans, and UNESCO's List of World Heritage in Danger.
