Background: Social media has been widely utilized to spread health-related information, which has led to the possibility of spreading medical misinformation. The extent of the issue is unknown, even though policymakers, researchers, and medical professionals agree that health misinformation must be controlled and combated.
Faculty of Health Sciences at Damascus University organized a workshop on “Cochlear implant from Identification to Rehabilitation”. The workshop is organized with the participation of professors, specialists and experts in the field of auditory rehabilitation from Syria and the United Arab Emirates.
The Faculty of Medicine at Damascus University honored 320 doctors-the top three graduate students from each department and in all years. With the participation of professors, the ceremony was followed by a scientific symposium targeting graduate students. The symposium included lectures on a number of autoimmune diseases.
