President of Damascus University meets the First Secretary at the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Damascus

The President of Damascus University, Professor Muhammad Osama Al-Jabban, met with the First Secretary, Commercial and Economic Attaché, and Head of the Development Cooperation Department at the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Damascus, Mr. Tomáš Khlopcek, to discuss the prospects for the scientific cooperation and future partnership between the two sides in order to serve the existing infrastructure projects in Syria in the affected areas.

The talks were mainly about ways and mechanisms to facilitate the provision of the Czech government aid to the civil society in Syria, which is represented by a group of diverse projects, especially in the field of water and sanitation, and a group of modern equipment, and the possibility of investing in serving scientific research work in cooperation with the University of Damascus- which possesses the infrastructure and expertise and scientific and technical capabilities capable of keeping pace with this modern equipment.

The meeting was attended by the Vice President of the University, the Director of International Relations, and the Dean of the Faculty of Civil Engineering at the University. Following the meeting, Mr. Khlopchik visited the laboratories of the Faculty of Civil Engineering, accompanied by the Dean, Professor Dr. Khawla Mansour, and a number of professors.
