Scholarships for doctoral students within the framework of the Credit Mobility project in which the University of Damascus partners with Philips University of Marburg in Germany

Within the framework of the Credit Mobility project, in which the University of Damascus participates with Philipps University Marburg in Germany, three scholarships will be provided to doctoral students who have completed a full year of registration in the doctoral stage, from the following specializations: Law - Economics - Education - Arts - Sciences - Political Science. The duration of the scholarship is a full semester (September - February) for the academic year (2024-2025).

   Those wishing to apply for these scholarships should send an email to the address internationalr589@gmail.com with two PDF attachments:

 1-The first is in Arabic and includes: (a certified copy of the bachelor’s and master’s degrees - a letter from the student’s college stating its approval of his nomination for this scholarship in accordance with the decision of the department council and the college council - the decision to enroll the student in the doctorate - a brief work plan that includes broad outlines of the research that the student intends to work on during the scholarship period),

 2-The second is in English and includes: (CV - a copy of the passport - a translated copy of the bachelor’s and master’s certificates - a brief work plan that includes broad outlines of the research that the student intends to work on during the scholarship period - a language certificate proving the student’s proficiency in the English or German language. See attached a table that includes the required specializations in addition to the links for each specialization, which includes comprehensive information about the educational programs and the type and level of language required for each specialization.

The deadline for receiving the above-mentioned nominations and documents is 4/24/2024. Any nomination that arrives after this date is considered void, and any deficiency in the required documents will result in cancellation of the student’s nomination for the scholarship.

Please note that the University of Marburg is exclusively responsible for selecting those accepted and that one of the conditions for obtaining the scholarship is for the applicant to obtain a letter from a supervising professor from the aforementioned university stating his approval to supervise him and evaluate his performance:
